Portable SPT
A small scale portable Standard Penetration Test device to measure the Safe Bearing Capacity of soil. Normal SPT requires heavy equipment to carry out the test with a minimum manual labour of at least 8-10 workers on the site. The transportation and movement of the device is cumbersome. It is observed that because of this problem, very few SBC investigations/experiments will be carried out in rural areas. Our moderately weighted model performs the entire process automatically with the help of sensors. This model had won the best product award by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology in 2021.
Surgical Sponge Counter
Textiloma, a serious condition resulting from surgical sponges being inadvertently left inside a patient post-surgery, contributes to approximately 100,000 deaths annually. First ever AI based model to identify and predict the shoreline dynamics of Indian rivers. This model predicts the phenomena of mouth shifting of rivers and shorelines for 100 years based on thematic maps, toposheets and satellite remote sensing data. This work had won prestigious National Championship by ISRO in 2021.
